Karndean Designflooring Expands Internal Marketing Department
Karndean Designflooring, a market leader in luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring, doubled the size of its US headquarters, and in 2017 is proud to announce new positions and additions to its corporate marketing department due to the company’s ongoing growth. As a result of these internal changes, Karndean can continue to provide the high level of service that its customers have come to expect from the company.
Karndean US Product Manager Jenne Ross has been appointed Director of Marketing. Ross has an extensive background across interior design, graphic design and marketing. In her role as Product Manager, Ross was responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of new product introductions and driving product development and enhancements, including market analysis, segmentation and forecasts. Ross worked with Karndean from 2005-2009 and returned to Karndean in 2014 after working as Senior Promotions Coordinator at GNC, the largest specialty retailer of health and performance products. “Jenne’s knowledge of Karndean’s history and products, combined with her background in design and marketing, will allow us to market our products in a more meaningful way,” Karndean US CEO Larry Browder said.
Emil Mellow has been appointed Director of Public Relations. Mellow has been with Karndean since 2013, arriving to the company with more than 25 years of marketing experience. Mellow previously served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at White Oak Displays and Design, owner and manager of Mellow7Studio, and Visual Merchandising and Trade Show Director at Armstrong World Industries. “In Emil’s time at Karndean, he has done an excellent job in working to develop effective communications strategies across our business. Having him focused on this full time will allow us to take our PR and advertising strategies to the next level,” Browder said.
In addition, Karndean welcomes Julie Ciccaglione and Cameron Frank as Retail and Commercial Channel Marketing Managers, respectively. Ciccaglione was previously employed with PPG Industries, Inc. as Associate Color Marketing Manager, where she developed creative color ideas and solutions, color tools and palettes, and merchandise displays. Ciccaglione’s background also includes retail, design and event experience.
Frank was formerly Associate Brand Manager of PPG Paints and previously held the titles of Field Marketing Specialist and Assistant Segment Marketing Manager at PPG Industries Inc. In these roles, Frank was responsible for crafting sector-specific collateral, trade shows, in-store events, and developing go-to-market brand strategies.
“The US businesses has grown so rapidly that we are at the point where both the retail and commercial channels require a marketing manager who can devote their undivided attention to developing aggressive marketing strategies by channel,” Browder said. “Our newly aligned marketing team will allow us to more aggressively and effectively develop industry leading marketing programs that drive value with our customers and position Karndean as the market leader in designflooring,” Browder added.
