Risa Horiuchi, who works for Kokuyo – one of Japan’s largest office furniture manufacturers and stationery suppliers – had the unique opportunity to help Kokuyo roll out its new CET Designer Extension “GRIP” (GRaphically Integrated Platform). Having used CET Designer for two years, Risa was excited to help train and support users on the new extension.
“We’re excited to be the first company in Japan to use CET Designer,” said Risa. “CET Designer saves time, is fun to use, and I love how it allows us to connect with our customers through visuals.”
CET Designer Extension GRIP allowed Kokuyo to become the first office furniture manufacturer in Japan to offer an intelligent, automated quote-creation system with 3D-rendering capabilities. Before CET Designer, calculations were made manually and information such as part numbers and quantities had to be entered manually into a computer. With CET Designer, it has allowed Kokuyo to transform its work processes, become more efficient and improve service to their customers.
To help promote CET Designer within Kokuyo, Risa and her team developed a rendering of their own office using CET Designer to demonstrate what CET Designer can do and developed a video walkthrough, which received positive feedback from users.
For users new to CET Designer, Risa says it’s important to take time to learn the platform. She encourages users to have fun with CET Designer and explore everything it offers.
“CET Designer is full of potential and allows me to create in many ways,” said Risa. “I am always amazed by what CET Designer can do and I am certain CET Designer will allow us to enhance the way we work. I look forward to seeing the CET Designer community grow in Japan.”
