On December 3, 2025 the Winners and runners-up were announced for the 6th Annual Jamie Stern Rug Design Contest. From September 29th Through November 2nd, Interior Designers Submitted Their Original Rug Designs for a Chance to Win a 5’x7’ Rug of Their Design Produced by Jamie Stern
For the 6th year running, Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric
ran its 6th Annual Rug Design Contest. From September 29th to November 2nd, any interior designer or architect in the United States and Canada was eligible to submit an original design for the chance to have it transformed into a beautiful hand-tufted area rug.
All entries were evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprised of three award-winning design professionals: Penelope Fischer-White, Senior Creative Design Lead at Rockwell Group, Marcus Miller, Interior Designer at Workshop/APD and Evelyn Wilwerding, Director of Interiors at HOK Chicago. A Grand Prize Winner and two runners-up from each of four regions – Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West – were selected by the judges and will have their designs brought to life as beautiful area rugs made of 100% natural fibers.
“Every year, we’re amazed by the creativity of our design community, and this year’s entries continued to inspire us,” said Jamie Stern, Founder of Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric. “We’re also proud to continue our tradition of supporting meaningful social causes. This year, we were able to donate nearly $1,700 to One Tree Planted to help make our climate a little bit cleaner.”
