James Gronek Joins ESD as Studio Lead for San Francisco Office

2016.0111.Re-S.James GronekJames Gronek has been named a Senior Associate and Studio Lead in the San Francisco office of ESD (Environmental Systems Design, Inc.), an international leader in the design of high performance buildings, mission critical facilities, workplaces, and health, science and education environments.

In his new role, Mr. James Gronek is responsible for management of ESD’s engineering team, as well as coordinating operations, project performance, and business development activities for ESD’s clients within the Bay Area and throughout the west coast.

Mr. Gronek has over 10 years of experience in mechanical design for a variety of project types – commercial high-rise core and shell as well as tenant interiors, mixed-use, hospitality, cultural, sports, residential, and retail – throughout the United States and internationally. Prior to joining ESD, he was a Senior Associate with a San Francisco engineering firm, responsible for mechanical designs for such projects as the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco; La Jolla Commons Office Towers I and II in San Diego; and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, a spring training baseball complex, in Scottsdale, AZ.

A licensed Professional Engineer in California and a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C), Mr. Gronek received a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University. He is a member of ASHRAE’s Golden Gate Chapter.
