Alex Moore returns to Turf Design Studio Director, Enhancing Collaboration Between Sales and Design teams

Moore, a former member of the Turf team, returns with extensive experience in design management and business strategy, bringing invaluable expertise to drive innovation, enhance collaboration, and elevate the design process in his new role.

Moore brings over 12 years of experience in the design and architecture industry, previously holding a role as senior design manager at Turf, giving him in-depth knowledge of the company’s design process and the needs of specifiers. He also served as a strategist at AECOM, where he specialized in business transformation and construction projects. Most recently, Moore earned his MBA, complementing his Master of Architecture and further strengthening his strategic and design expertise. In his new role as design studio director, he will be reporting to the vice president of architectural specialties brands, working to balance strategic growth and operational leadership by managing the proposal studio, overseeing project workflows, and ensuring the manufacturability and feasibility of custom designs. Moore aims to bridge the gap between design and sales by integrating design expertise earlier in the process, supporting designers in making informed decisions while developing new methodologies and project-specific deliverables. His vision, as design studio director, is to foster a more seamless, collaborative approach, returning to Turf’s roots of exceptional service while evolving to meet industry needs.

As Turf continues to grow, Moore’s position will play a pivotal role within the company. He will work closely with both the sales and design teams to drive innovation, improve collaboration, and enhance customer engagement from the outset of the design process.
