Introducing Studio Alliance’s New Principal + Innovation Director

Washington, DC-based architecture firm Studio Alliance is excited to share the elevation of Greg Weber, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP to the position of Principal and Innovation Director.

In his tenure at Studio Alliance, Greg has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to tackle complex design challenges and deliver innovative solutions. He has collaborated with leading companies including Cooley and Meridiam, contributing to high-profile projects and helping cement the firm’s reputation as a visionary leader in commercial interiors that put their clients— and most importantly, the people behind the client— at the center.

In his expanded role, Greg will spearhead Studio Alliance’s creative and strategic direction, ensuring that they continue to deliver groundbreaking design solutions that redefine the architectural landscape and advance their clients. In addition to his project work, he will continue to have a front-facing role with clients. This position is crucial to Studio Alliance’s ongoing commitment to push the boundaries of architectural innovation and design excellence.

Greg’s promotion comes on the heels of an exciting year for Studio Alliance, marked by a rebrand in the Fall of 2023 and on the heels of the firm’s 25th anniversary. Greg’s new appointment highlights the firm’s growth with ongoing projects in Los Angeles, Hartford, CT, Washington, D.C., New York City, and beyond.

Greg is a registered architect across jurisdictions including New York, Texas, Illinois, and Washington D.C., among others. Prior to joining Studio Alliance, he spent 15 years with LSM, where he worked with prominent clients such as Centerbridge Partners, Milbank, and Rockefeller Capital Management. Greg and his teams have been honored with notable awards for their game-changing work, including from the AIA (2016 Award for Interior Architecture, Covington & Burling office, Washington D.C.), the IDC International Interior Design Association (2017, Centerbridge Partners New York office), the British Council for Offices Best of the Best National Award (2012, K&L Gates, London) and three Architectural Record Good Design is Good Business awards (2019 for Hines New York Headquarters, 2016 Covington, Washington DC and 2012 K&L Gates, London). Many of the projects Greg has worked on have also been recognized in renowned publications globally including Forbes, Interior Design Magazine, DOMUS, and ELLE Decor Italia.

Greg shares his extensive knowledge and expertise through his participation in panels and other thought leadership opportunities including a talk on “Law Firm Workplace Strategies Post-COVID’ for USLFG’s 2023 Firm Administrators Conference; he has also served as a juror for the esteemed Best of NeoCon awards. Greg is also committed to his community through his involvement as a committee chair for Higher Achievement, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing underprivileged middle school students with resources and mentorship to bridge the opportunity gap and help them excel in their education journeys.
