Innovations Celebrates Opening with a Ribbon Cutting in the Merchandise Mart
Innovations has revealed the second showroom in their comprehensive nationwide renovation plan: a luxuriously redesigned space in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart. An inspiring environment for designers and their clients, the new Chicago showroom opens with a welcoming reception lounge that leads to a series of galleries featuring Innovations’ luxury wallcoverings. With custom furnishings and rich surface textures, the space feels intimate yet was designed for events. Innovations previewed the redesigned space at NeoCon last year, followed by a packed panel discussion at Design Chicago and ribbon cutting ceremony with Innovations executives and Chicago team.
“It’s an exciting time for Innovations,” said President Alex Mayer who represents the second generation of leadership for the family-owned company. “The showroom is a beautiful reflection of our brand, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m proud of our team and grateful to the design community; we believe in the grand residential showroom experience, and our investment in Chicago reflects that.”
Innovations celebrates their fiftieth anniversary this year, a milestone event, as they position their brand for the next fifty years. The reopening of the Chicago showroom marks the midpoint of a comprehensive, nationwide investment and plan to reimagine all five Innovations showrooms by 2026.
Innovations unveiled a new, 3,000-square foot space in Los Angeles early last year. Both the showroom and LA staff remain safe despite nearby wildfires. Yet the devastation hits close to home, and Innovations’ thoughts are with the local community as they prepare to rebuild their beautiful city.
