The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) proudly announces the winners of the 21st annual IIDA/Contract Magazine Showroom and Booth Design Competition. This competition honors originality of design, visual impact, effective use of materials, and the outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting, and graphics in showrooms and booths at NeoCon. Judging for all showrooms and booths took place on Sunday, June 12, 2016. All winners will be announced and celebrated at NeoCon, with Best of Competition honors going to 3form, designed by Standard Issue Design.

“This annual competition challenges designers and manufacturers to create a unique experience that educates and entertains in limited space,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “The winning showrooms and booths at this year’s competition were not only visually stunning, but they created a lasting impression on attendees—illustrating a true celebration of design. We congratulate the firms and manufacturers for their outstanding showroom and booth designs at NeoCon 2016.”

The jury panel reviewing this year’s competition included Rebecca Dorris Steiger, IIDA (ZGF, New York, NY); Peggy Hoffmann, IIDA (FGM Architects, Oakbrook, IL); Valerie Jardon, IIDA (Box Studios, Chicago, IL); Jill Lee, IIDA (Buffalo Design, Seattle, WA);Wendi Reynolds-Donahue, IIDA (Nashville Office Interiors, Nashville, TN); and Amy Todd, IIDA (Bostwick Design Partnership, Cleveland, OH).

Showrooms Less Than 4,000 Square Feet: 3form
Designer: Standard Issue Design

Booths Greater Than or Equal to 400 Square Feet: Universal Fibers
Designer: Gensler Chicago: Christine Hart, Anne Gibson, and Kimberly Lindstrom

Booths Less Than 400 Square Feet: Benjamin Moore
Designer: LionHeart

Winners of the IIDA/Contract Magazine Showroom and Booth Design Competition will be featured on the IIDA website and the Contract magazine website at contractdesign.com.
