The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Alessi proudly announce the winners of the 4th annual IIDA Best Interiors of Latin America and the Caribbean Competition. This competition recognizes and celebrates interior design/architecture projects that reflect the highest level of creativity, originality, and design excellence from Latin America and the Caribbean Islands.

“IIDA and Alessi are honored to showcase the tremendous design talent represented in this region,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “The winners of the 2016 Best Interiors of Latin America and the Caribbean Competition reflect the highest standard of excellence in interiors and emphasize the role of local inspiration and cultural context with sophisticated, globally-relevant design.”

The jury panel consisted of distinguished design professionals, including Marlene Liriano, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C, Managing Director, IA Interior Architects; Patrick O’Hare, IIDA, AIA, Principal | VP Business Development, EDG Interior Architecture + Design; and Hayes Slade, IIDA, AIA, Principal, Slade Architecture.

“The firms that participated in the competition are continuing to elevate the quality of design work being done in Latin America,” said Liriano on behalf of the judges. “We are delighted by the outstanding creative and beautiful work. Congratulations to all of the winners!”
