IIDA Announces Chapter Award Winners

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) proudly announces its 2016 Chapter Award winners. The annual Chapter Awards are designed to encourage IIDA Chapters to develop and enhance the profession at the local level. IIDA Southern California Chapter was recognized as Large Chapter of the Year. IIDA Mid-America Chapter was acknowledged as Small Chapter of the Year. In addition, winners were announced in five specialty categories.

“Our local IIDA Chapters boast enormously creative and dedicated interior design professionals who host events, market the Association, engage local communities, attract new members, and further the profession in a profound and innovative ways. The Chapter Awards give us the opportunity to recognize the IIDA Chapters who truly go above and beyond to further the mission of IIDA,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “We are proud to both honor the winning Chapters and celebrate all Chapters as part of our 2016 Chapter Awards.”

The jury panel reviewing this year’s nominations included Kyler Queen, Marketing Manager, Perkins+Will; Leah Ray, Firm-wide PR Manager and Senior Associate, Gensler; and Kerry Ward, Executive Director, LLAMA, American Library Association.

Chapter of the Year honorees were announced at the IIDA Annual Meeting on June 12, 2016, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Category winners were celebrated at the Chapter Awards luncheon immediately preceding the Annual Meeting.
