The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and co-presenting sponsor Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong are proud to announce the winners of the fourth annual Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards. The Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards recognize the highest level of design excellence in interior design/architecture projects throughout the Asia Pacific region.

“This year’s submissions to the IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards showed a depth of design talent from across the region, making the jury’s job of choosing winners extremely challenging,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “The winners seamlessly melded form, function, and materials to create fresh, light-filled spaces that paid homage to classic, regionally-significant aesthetics while remaining on the cutting-edge of design.”

The jury panel for the Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards included: Avery Miyasato Handy, IIDA, CID (Design Director, Ted Moudis Associates), Angie Lee, IIDA, AIA (Principal, Design Director – Interiors, FXFOWLE), and Joey N. ShimodaFIIDA, FAIA (Chief Creative Officer, Shimoda Design Group).

“The level of design was very high,” Shimoda said on behalf of the jury. “Entrants were not afraid to take risks, and the designs reflected the rapidly evolving Asian culture, while incorporating traditional color palettes and natural materials.”
