The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) announced the recipients of its 2016 Awards of Excellence at IFMA’s World Workplace Conference & Expo in San Diego, California, USA. The annual awards recognize the outstanding achievements of IFMA members, chapters, councils and partners. Recipients were announced at a luncheon and banquet honoring those who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of the facility management profession and the association.
“Recognizing accomplishments is an important aspect of any organization. We have a high regard for skill, talent, creativity and proficiency, in our members and our staff,” said IFMA president and CEO, Tony Keane, CAE. “We believe that people come first. This is IFMA’s credo. IFMA is nothing without its members, volunteer leaders, sponsors and staff. And IFMA is a much better organization as a result of the efforts of our award winners.”
IFMA introduced a new award this year to recognize ingenious achievements that have a profound impact on the facility management profession, the workplace and business as not-so-usual. The FM Innovation Award was presented to iOFFICE in recognition of the new iOFFICE Marketplace — the first app universe created for facility management space.
