“It’s always exciting to witness the incredible depth and breadth of design solutions found around the globe, and I’m honored to be a part of celebrating international design and designers at the iF DESIGN AWARD.” — Cheryl S. Durst, Executive Vice President and CEO, IIDA
“Critiquing work is an essential part of a design practice, from school onwards. You might call this a global design critique, identifying the most relevant projects of the moment. It’s a joy to be a part of it.” — Hlynur Atlason, Sustainable Designer and Founder of Atlason Studio
“The iF DESIGN AWARD brings together the most talented and experienced jurors to the process of selecting the prestigious annual award. The emphasis on detail and nuance during the jury evaluation reflects the commitment to excellence and the pursuit of design at its most fundamental and essential level. Being a part of this jury is an honor as we look for the most exceptional designs to receive the coveted iF Award.” — Karen Korellis Reuther, Design Critic at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and one of this year’s appointed Chairpersons for the competition
The jurying process is based on a redesigned juror structure. From the 132 selected jury members, there will be 8 Chairpersons designated to guide the jury groups in judging over 11,000 submissions from 65 countries spanning 9 design disciplines and 82 categories. The Chairpersons are highly experienced design experts, helping to oversee and secure the entire evaluation process. They are passionate advocates for transparency and objectivity: only the quality of a design and its verified criteria determine the outcome of the award.
