IDLNY Honors Ruth Lynford
Ruth Lynford was the honoree at IDLNY’s 2nd Annual “Evening at the Intrepid” Gala on June 1st
Colleagues, friends and supporters of the interior design industry joined together for sunset cocktails & refreshments on the historic Intrepid aircraft carrier overlooking the Hudson. A special sweepstakes was held for a Humanscale Freedom Headrest chair, kindly donated by IDLNY’s Corporate level sponsor.
Ruth Lynford was honored for her contributions and efforts toward the interior design profession. She spoke about the history of Interior Designers for Legislation in New York (IDLNY), an organization she founded in 1984. IDLNY is the coalition for New York State interior designers. Their mission is to inform and educate the New York legislative and regulatory bodies, interior designers and consumers about the issues facing the interior design profession. IDLNY also continually monitors legislation that could affect the practice of interior design and serves as a representative coalition for this process.
