Horizon Table Light Now Available in Bright New Palette
This month, Humanscale is releasing the newest additions to the most celebrated and beautiful table light in the industry, Horizon. Created by Peter Stathis, Michael McCoy and the Humanscale design studio, Humanscale, the world-wide leader in commercial LED task lighting, has expanded the award-winning, iconic design offering with its Horizon Colors Collection. The sleek, ergonomic and easily adjustable LED light has won 24 design awards. Thanks to its platonic minimalism, organic design and innovative nanotechnology, it has been featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. Originally offered in Arctic White, Silver and Jet Black, the Horizon table light is now available to order in Twilight Blue, Dusk Pink, Morning Pink, Sunrise Orange and Bronze Gold. The new colors are the perfect complement to the light’s high-performance and inherent functionality, making it an ideal solution for any residential, corporate or hospitality interior.
“Our goal in designing Horizon was to achieve an ultra-thin, luminous plane of light—made possible through years of research—and celebrate it by floating it above the desktop in a package of material and aesthetic efficiency,” says Peter Stathis, co-designer of the original Horizon table lamp.
A high performance lighting solution with an ultra-thin profile, Horizon seamlessly blends form and function for maximum efficiency. Its Thin Film LED Technology produces a wide footprint of warm-white light, glare-free, high-quality, beautiful light. Ideal for both pixels and paper, it casts a single shadow for ocular comfort and features a high-efficiency nightlight function that uses just one watt of electricity. The entire head of Horizon is made of die cast aluminum, serving as a heat sink to maximize LED longevity and ensure a 50,000-hour lifespan. Horizon functions with the individual user in mind; its unique spherical joints allow for effortless adjustability and easily accommodate the user’s preferences. Adaptable features such as dimmable brightness become automatically saved after just one use. Humanscale offers an industry leading 10 year warranty on lighting products.
