“It is with great pleasure that we turn our design lens towards hotels and vacation experiences,” states Mike Chapman, ByDesign Co-Founder and Executive Producer. “ByDesign continues the design conversation in front of a mainstream American and international audience, celebrating, commentating, and educating on excellent design. The brand is gathering immense momentum and is being recognized globally as a medium through which design can be discussed and shared. We are excited to be collaborating with the AHLA as we embark on new adventures – broadening our audience and telling exceptional design stories together.”

Behind-the-scenes with ByDesign at the AHLA

ByDesign is home to a global collection of primetime television shows on CBS that explore design and the key innovators that bring these ideas to life. Filming with AHLA is an expansion of its dedication to bridging the gap between high-end design and the public—even helping viewers choose their next vacation destination! Hotels ByDesign is geared towards travelers seeking out, appreciating, and indulging in exceptional design. Each story focuses on the hotel, the environment in which it is set, and offerings the environment provides.

“Hotels are at the cutting edge of informed design, as brands and hotel companies are constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of guests,” says Chip Rogers, AHLA President & CEO, who will share his insights across all episodes as one of the show’s commentators. “I’m excited to work with Hotels ByDesign to showcase the beauty and ingenuity of our industry.”

A good hotel is dependent on the setting. With the varied regions across the U.S., each featured hotel is reflective of the environment it is in–spanning landscape and culture. Hotels ByDesign will celebrate these properties to showcase the world of well-designed hospitality.
