The Arlo Collection from the Hightower Studio brand has expanded with three new additions: the Arlo 1.5 Lowback, Arlo 1.5 Highback, and Arlo Two-Seat Highback with Screen. Building on the inviting spirit of the original collection, Arlo expands to meet the evolving needs of modern spaces. With thoughtful proportions, flexible privacy, and integrated functionality, it creates destinations where people can pause between classes, focus during the workday, or connect in comfort; on their own terms.
âRevisiting Arlo meant rethinking comfort and personal space and, perhaps most importantly, giving people options for how they work, collaborate, or relax,â noted Shawn Sowers, Hightowerâs VP of Design.

The Arlo extension builds on the collectionâs signature comfort and purposeful functionality, offering larger, more accommodating seating that supports both restoration and focused work. The new 1.5-seat models provide generous personal space, allowing users to settle in comfortably, while highback and screen options create visual and acoustic boundaries that help manage distractions and support moments of privacy in shared environments.
âArlo was designed around the idea of restore and relax and now weâve focused on a sense of refuge,â Sowers added. âWe wanted to create a place that feels inviting and familiar, like settling into a favorite pillow. The new 1.5-seat provides space not just for people but also for their belongings. It supports a longer stay, whether thatâs stepping away from work for a moment, checking in on email or social media, or settling into focused reading or writing.â

Across all new models, optional features such as under-mount power and dual articulating pivot tables support flexible work and collaboration, allowing Arlo to adapt to evolving workplace, hospitality, and education settings.
Designed for durability and long-term use, Arlo is available with wood or metal bases; metal legs are ANSI/BIFMA X5.41-400/400 lb rated and wood ANSI/BIFMA X5.4 / 275 lb rated. Replaceable back cushions support long product lifecycles, while multiple sustainability certifications, including Indoor Advantage Gold reflect Hightowerâs ongoing commitment to responsible design and material transparency.
âBelonging is a core part of the design,â Sowers continued. âWith metal leg options tested to BIFMA 400-pound large-occupant standards, Arlo is built to be welcoming and reliable for everyone. People shouldnât have to think about where they can or canât sit in a space. The design is generous in both width and stability.â

As part of Hightowerâs broader Considered Solutions directive, the Arlo Collection reflects the companyâs belief that furniture should do more than fill space; it should support well-being, encourage belonging, and respond thoughtfully to the changing ways people gather, work, and restore.
The expanded Arlo Collection is available in a range of powder-coat finishes, wood-leg options, and wood and laminate pivot-table materials, allowing designers to tailor the collection to diverse interior environments.
