New offerings support the company’s Considered Solutions ethos.
Led by the Hightower Studio Design Team, Hightower has expanded its award-winning Flote Collection, with 20 new models available to meet the call of the company’s Considered Solutions directive. There is now something for everyone from Flote, including casters, swivel bases, sizes, and additional finish offerings.
Hightower’s Considered Solutions initiative marries purposeful product design with intentional user experiences, ensuring solutions meet real-world needs. By integrating key factors like sustainability, neurodiversity, comfort, and durability, backed by both certifications and user insights, Hightower creates products that are both functional and inspiring for all. This allows for designing with intention, considering diverse user needs to deliver adaptable, intuitive solutions that make the most of all experiences in varied interiors.
The Flote Collection brings a sense of lightness, comfort, and playful sophistication to modern spaces. Every element has been carefully refined to deliver a sit that provides comfort and support, whether seeking quiet reflection, creative collaboration, or casual comfort. It’s a collection that doesn’t just fill a space, it elevates it. It’s a better moment, built into every curve, every finish, and every seam.
“Flote is about creating spaces that support people — where comfort, movement, and design come together to make better moments,” noted Shawn Sowers, Hightower’s VP of Design.
This collection was designed to adapt, supporting a range of environments and behaviors. The active sit of the chair offers upright comfort for focused work, while optional casters allow for easy mobility and space reconfiguration, making environments effortlessly adaptable for differing user needs. The swivel lounge with auto return brings effortless rotation and the ability to fidget while maintaining visual order. Seating options include chairs and two- and three-seat sofas, ensuring generous lounge options are available for all bodies, balancing personal space and connection.
Jenna Geigerman, Hightower President/COO, added, “At Hightower Studio, every collection begins with a question: how can we better support the way people live, work, and socialize today? With Flote, the answer lies in considered design, adaptable function, and lasting quality.”

When Flote was released in 2023, it garnered numerous industry accolades, including a Best of NeoCon award and the coveted Best of Competition award, in addition to Metropolis Likes and Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year award. With such a successful launch, the current expansion only enhances the collection’s attractive qualities.
“When it was launched in our showroom at NeoCon in 2023, Flote offered visitors a moment of pause and a first sit that felt instantly familiar and surprisingly uplifting,” recalled Natalie Hartkopf, Hightower CEO/co-owner. “More than just a visual centerpiece in the lounge portion of the showroom, it was a sensory experience that was both grounding and energizing. With these additional offerings now available, we are bringing Flote into the realm of Considered Solutions and offering the beauty and function of Flote to even more people.”
Designed and manufactured in North Carolina, Flote is Indoor Advantage Gold Certified, free from Red List chemicals, and contains recycled content. The Flote Lounge is rated for 400 lbs, meeting the requirements for BIFMA large occupant. Overall, the collection supports human wellness and environmental stewardship, backed by a 10-year warranty. With a six-week lead time for standard finishes, the Flote Collection is yours to customize and bring to life.
