Hickory Chair Celebrates The Legacy of The Hampton Brands

Hickory Chair, with fond regret and appreciation for a long and fruitful collaboration, announces the end of our partnership with a beloved member of our design family: Alexa Hampton. The Alexa Hampton and Mark Hampton collections for Hickory Chair began in 1988 with the late Mark Hampton, and in 2005 with his daughter, Alexa; each collection has expanded though multiple iterations since their initial launches. Hickory Chair has made classic, timeless wood and upholstered furniture with the Hamptons that has been to the delight of design editors, interior designers and fine retailers around the world.

With great respect for one another, our two companies have made the decision to part ways in order to pursue opportunities outside of our specific agreements. “It is with our admiration and deep appreciation that we wish Alexa the greatest success in the future with her iconic brands,” states Parker Goss, Vice President of Merchandising. He continues, “in addition to unveiling Suzanne Kasler’s exciting new Paris Apartment collection this spring, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating our 30 year relationship with the Hampton brands as we honor Alexa in her final market for Hickory Chair”.

Says Alexa Hampton, “Ours has been a meaningful and rewarding relationship over the years one that I, and my father, have valued deeply.  While we end this particular professional era with nothing but good will and excitement for our future successes, I will always remain a steadfast, lifelong customer of Hickory Chair, whose furniture has thrilled me almost as much as all of the great friends I have made at the company over the years.“

“On behalf of everyone at Heritage Home Group, I would like to thank Alexa for her unique contribution and dedication over the years,” states Pierre de Villemejane, CEO & President.  He continues, “we wish her the very best for the future.”
