The new collection is designed to be the ideal executive seating option, with a streamlined, sculpted profile and generous dimensions for optimal support and comfort.
HBF, the leading furniture and textile manufacturer, is pleased to announce the launch of the Tyler Seating Collection. Designed by HBF Design Studio, Tyler is a new expression in executive seating that fuses a timeless form with forward-thinking elements. A study in body inclusivity, Tyler is developed with surprising considerations and exacting details: its generous seat along with its wider and taller back envelop the user, allowing for thoughtful accommodation of many types of physiques with a supportive embrace.
A few key points about the new collection:
- Tyler chair’s internal back structure is composed of plastic culled from recycled and repurposed 5-gallon buckets.
- Tyler’s seat dimensions are wider, with approximately 20 ¼” of seating space providing greater comfort.
- Tyler is offered in two options – the Mid Back with a height of 39″ – 43¼” and the High Back with a height of 43½” – 47¾”, one of the tallest high back office chairs on the market.
- Tyler can be upholstered in various HBF Textiles, including solid colors, woven patterns, and full-grain leathers and can be mixed and matched with contrasting materiality.

Keeping the comfort of Work From Home (WFH) in mind, Tyler is a versatile, universally adaptable seating solution that provides optimal ergonomic support for various body types. Designed with an emphasis on gracious curves, Tyler’s seat dimensions are wider, with approximately 20 ¼” of seating space providing greater comfort. Tyler will also be offered in two options – the Mid Back with a height of 39” – 43¼” and the High Back with a height of 43½” – 47¾”, one of the tallest high back office chairs on the market. And the injection-molded foam back creates a bespoke seating experience for most body types, creating a seating solution that is as conscientious as it is comfortable.
“HBF prides itself on designing for longevity,” says Casey Baxter, HBF’s new Vice President. “And our latest swivel tilt introduction, Tyler, is designed with versatility in mind. From executive conferencing to casual meetings, Tyler is universally adaptable, suitable for all work environments, and supportive for a variety of body types. We believe this will be a go-to solution for many years to come.”
Visually lightweight yet ultra sturdy, Tyler is also a flexible addition to any office and boardroom, with its ability to fit into many different design schemes. The Tyler armless chair is well suited for the modern, minimalist office. With a small footprint and clean lines, it maximizes floor space and fits into any office configuration. Meanwhile, the Tyler chair with the polished aluminum arms offers a sleek appearance that complements well with leather or textured-weave upholstery. The powder-coated aluminum frame provides lightweight durability without compromising the resistance or longevity of the finish.
Tyler allows contract designers to create a high-performance product that melds style and functionality. It can be upholstered in various HBF Textiles, including solid colors, woven patterns, and full-grain leathers. The seat cushion and back cushion upholstery can be specified as matching textiles choices or contrasting for mixed materiality.
HBF continues its commitment to sustainability which remains true with this new collection, as Tyler chair’s internal back structure is composed of plastic culled from recycled and repurposed 5-gallon buckets. The injection-molded foam back is also made to Tyler’s specifications; therefore, no additional material is wasted in the production process. The whole collection is engineered with serviceability, interchangeability, and long-term maintenance in mind, allowing for the replacement of parts to retain the value of the product and prolong its life.
In a constantly evolving world, Tyler is essential for any office environment that values comfort and flexibility. The Tyler Seating Collection launched online and through all HBF showrooms on October 25, 2022.
