Get comfortable with Steeve Lou from Arper

In 2024, Arper continues to emphasize the importance of sustainability in their business model by encouraging flexibility with the placement of their products- beginning with Steeve, a modular sofa system.

Arper has reimagined the beloved Steeve sofa and transformed it into Steeve Lou (Lou being short for lounge). Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, Steeve Lou is a more relaxed version of the original. Inviting individuals to use their imagination as to where Steeve Lou could fit into their lives. Steeve Lou could be in a residential living room,  in the common area on a college campus, or in a doctor’s office waiting room.

The modular design allows for endless configurations and options for utilization. By creating a chameleon product, Arper is able to reduce the number of products in its range while maintaining quality and sustainability standards. In addition, the collection can be completely disassembled and cushion covers removed or replaced to expand the lifespan on the product.

By having flexibility of use, Steeve Lou can have many lives and can be refurbished to reduce waste long-term.

Steeve Lou
Design by Jean-Marie Massaud, 2024

Steeve Lou creates the conditions to let the mind wander, encouraging relaxation, creativity and connection. Steeve Lou transforms spaces, making them more open, inviting, and warm – whether at home or out in the world. Part of the expansive Steeve family, the new Steeve Lou collection harnesses curved lines and rounded edges to support calm, comfortable living for all.

Steeve Lou is freestanding, fully upholstered with a single T-Leg base. In pursuit of true comfort, it features new cushioning foam technologies in combination with an ergonomic seat depth and high backrests for sitting up or lounging, for residential and professional settings alike. The collection is fully disassemblable, and the cushion covers can be removed or replaced to expand the lifespan of the product. Options for two or three seats, a matching ottoman, end side tables for additional storage, and laptop cushion for functional support expand the possibilities.
