Gensler Austin’s New Leader Boosts Workplace Design in Top Recruiting City

Nena Martin brings more than 25 years of interior architecture and design expertise to her new role as Director of Workplace

Gensler, the global architecture and design firm, adds a senior hire to its Austin, Texas office to lead the Workplace Practice Area. Today, Nena Martin, IIDA joins the firm as Director of Workplace.

Martin’s expertise in commercial architectural interiors includes corporate office, federal, technology, education, healthcare, and industrial. Her passion for people and design has allowed her to provide engaging workplace environments for notable clients such as Apple, Accruent, Dell, Facebook, and Google in Austin and throughout the country.

“Nena is a trusted advisor to many significant technology clients, real estate brokers, and project managers,” Runkle said. “Her unique sense of style and business acumen has allowed her to become one of the most respected interior designers in the Austin market, and we’re excited to have her on the Gensler Austin team.”

As a trusted and collaborative leader, Martin excels at fostering strong relationships internally and externally to support the teams she manages. She will join Gensler Austin’s Workplace Studio Directors Jennifer Mejia, RID, LEED AP and Dawn James, RID, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C to continue to grow the practice area.
