Flos Architectural Launches Infra-Structure Episode 2

Combining geometric rigor with technical ingenuity and efficient beauty, Infra-Structure Episode 2, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, presents a new chapter to his debut lighting collection with Flos Architectural. This modular, architectural lighting system is a mix and match of elements, creating a very playful and versatile collection. Van Duysen took inspiration from the visual clarity of the Bauhaus and a language of archetypes and geometric volumes: tubes, cones, and cylinders. When combined, these expressive, contemplative compositions result in grid-like 3-D little sculptures that can now be positioned at varying heights. The system can stand as a single element or scale up as large as is needed.

Shaped by an industrial aesthetic, Infra-Structure Episode 2 is designed around an endlessly configurable, ceiling-mounted framework of tubular steel rods that are combined with a range of light fixture options. Light tubes are built with an efficient opal diffuser to produce atmospheric, ambient light; pendant elements provide more focused or decorative lighting accents. The different components are joined on the vertical profiles of a simple anchoring system, allowing for 360º mobility, total flexibility and personalization to adapt to the needs of a space.
