Ethnicraft received the IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Award in the Casegoods and Freestanding Furniture – Individual category for the Geometric Console at this year’s show. In this collection, shapes intersect in unexpected ways, creating playful contrasts with light and shadow at every angle. In addition to its eye-catching aesthetic benefits, the Geometric Console can be used for both display purposes or for storage in a multitude of environments including reception areas, office spaces, hotel lobbies, restaurants, libraries and more. The product is visually unique and highly functional, made from solid FSC-certified oak.
This esteemed IIDA/HD Expo Product Design competition recognizes products that excel in seven different criteria, including aesthetics, cost and value, design innovation, environmental responsibility, need, technical advancements, and usage. This year’s entries were evaluated by a panel of distinguished design industry experts that included Rottet Studio Principal and Design Director, Chris Evans; HOK Principal and Practice Leader, Kelly Lott; and BRPH Chief Design and Creative Leader, Cristi Moore, IIDA. The winners were announced and celebrated at a special reception on Wednesday, May 1st during the 2024 HD Expo + Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
