ESI announced the Kata monitor arm series received the platinum 2021 ADEX (Awards for Design Excellence) Award. Sponsored by Design Journal magazine, an international trade resource for interior designers and architects, the ADEX Awards represent the best product and project designs of the year.

Kata was designed in partnership with London-based design firm Roger Webb Associates with the goal of achieving superior quality of movement by increasing the range and dimensional reach of the arm.
During the early phases of development, the design team used wooden prototypes to strip away unnecessary traditional monitor arm attributes. The team found ways to reduce clutter and identify the essence of a monitor arm’s flex dynamic while providing stability once a user sets a position. The minimal design emphasizes five key pivot points that are adjustable with fingertip sensitivity.
Kata is adaptable to any customized workstation with single or dual monitor configurations up to 18 pounds per arm.
