ESD Promotes Julie DeNardis to Senior Vice President

2015.0921.Nwy.Julie DeNardisESD (Environmental Systems Design, Inc.), an international leader in the design of high performance buildings, mission critical facilities, workplaces, and health, science and education environments, has promoted Julie DeNardis, director of ESD’s Abu Dhabi office in the United Arab Emirates, to senior vice president.

In her role, Ms. DeNardis is responsible for leading the operations, project performance, and business development activities for ESD’s clients throughout the Middle East.

“This promotion recognizes Julie’s leadership and her commitment to success since establishing our office in Abu Dhabi,” said Raj Gupta, CEO of ESD. “Through her determination, she has built a team with a strong reputation throughout the region for delivering value to our clients through collaboration, innovation with purpose, and continuous improvement.”

Since relocating to Abu Dhabi to establish the office, Ms. DeNardis has led ESD’s delivery of services at Sowwah Square, The Galleria, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Al Hilal Bank tower, and many others. She is currently working on a residential development in Abu Dhabi’s sustainable city, Masdar City.

As a leader within ESD, as well as the industry, Ms. DeNardis was among the first in the Middle East to become an Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional. She applies principles of sustainability and innovation with purpose toward her work, strives for continuous improvement, and led ESD’s effort to become ISO-9001 certified. She was also a winner of Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine’s 40 Under 40, an award given to 40 building industry professionals age 40 and younger who stand out in all aspects of their lives, particularly in the nonresidential building community.

Ms. DeNardis received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan. She is a member of a LEED Accredited Professional and Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional.
