ESD (Environmental Systems Design, Inc.), an international leader in the design of high performance buildings, mission critical facilities, workplaces, and health, science and education environments, has promoted Aliza Skolnik to vice president and director of the firm’s San Francisco office.
In her role, Ms. Aliza Skolnik is responsible for managing operations, project performance, and business development activities for ESD’s clients within the Bay Area and throughout the west coast.

As a leader at ESD, as well as the industry, Ms. Skolnik is among the first group of provisional WELL APs, is a Certified Energy Manager, Green Globes Professional, LEED Accredited Professional, and a licensed Professional Engineer. She has managed numerous large-scale portfolio assessment projects, contributed to several LEED exams as an item writer and the v4.0 Reference Guide as an Energy credit writer, written numerous articles, and has shared her experiences through presentations such as her Keynote address on Energy Star at a BOMA Office and Commercial Real Estate Expo.
Ms. Skolnik received a bachelor’s of science degree from Washington University in St. Louis and is a member of USGBC’s Northern California Chapter.
