Enhance design and creativity: Pininfarina launches its first ever Academy

The Pininfarina Academy initiative will begin this summer with an architecture-centered summer course as its first activity.

Pininfarina, in partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo, is proud to announce its exclusive 3 X 3 X 3 Summer School: Advance design and DfMA in architecture. This immersive program offers a unique opportunity for young architects and aspiring ones to learn from world-renowned industry experts and explore cutting-edge design concepts at the company’s headquarters in Turin, Italy.

The Pininfarina Architecture Summer School is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary architectural design. Participants will engage in workshops, on-site visits, and collaborative projects that emphasize Pininfarina’s core values of timeless beauty together with state-of-the-art technology to create a positive social impact, culminating in a final presentation to industry experts.

The course will also explore the interconnection between automotive and architectural design while immersing students in Turin’s rich architectural heritage and fostering skills in concept design, UX definition, and spatial coordination. The two weeks will be filled with multiple keynote presentations by prominent guest lecturers, alongside practical design workshops throughout the program.

Participants will get to work with the latest technologies in use in the architectural sector, from parametric and generative design to AI-driven techniques and VR/AR tools for immersive design exploration, through unique, dedicated workshops; gain insights regarding the makings of a variety of projects as well as develop of a unique concept and get access to the company’s manufacturing facilities where you can test and prototype design solutions.

This one-of-a-kind course will take place over the course of two weeks, from July 14th to 26th 2025. Instruction will be in English, and participation is limited to 12 students.

The goal is to create a unique learning opportunity and to network with talented architecture students from across the globe, create lasting connections and share the passion for design with like-minded individuals.

Prominent companies in the construction sector, such as Ghella, Mered and Manni Group, have chosen to support the Pininfarina Summer School by awarding scholarships.

This initiative has also received patronage from ADI and Fondazione per l’Architettura Torino.
