PowerBench with New H-Leg Base Now Available to Order

Today, AIS announces an extension of the Encounter PowerBench and PowerBeam family of products with the introduction of a new metal H-Leg on PowerBench. As a responsive manufacturer, AIS continues to expand Encounter based on customer feedback, evolving workplace demands, and design trends in the marketplace.

Encounter PowerBench – Mixed Laminate and H-Leg base

Expanding Beam-based Power with Ergonomic Control for Users

Encounter PowerBench supports the needs of users and facility managers with ease. The height adjustable leg is integrated into PowerBench with a 2-stage height adjustable worksurface that allows users to control the way they work throughout the day supporting posture shifts and ensuring personalized comfort.

Today’s workplace requires power and data access for a variety of devices. PowerBench does that easily with the powered spine and optional add-on power that’s an arm’s reach away.

According to Bill Stewich, the company’s executive vice president of design and innovation, “This next level of product builds upon our successful PowerBeam platform. For PowerBench, we’ve expanded the power platform with integrated, height adjustable worksurfaces to create an inherently ergonomic solution for customers. Our team went a step further, offering a new H leg option that provides a lighter scaled solution – along with the ability to bring colorful paint finishes into the workplace.”

Encounter a World of Design Possibilities

Encounter PowerBench is designed with application flexibility in mind. PowerBench is available in both single- and double-sided configurations making planning around columns and other permanent structures simple. Designers can select 120-degree worksurfaces when more workspace is needed.

The all-in-one height adjustable benching gives facility managers greater control of floorplate inventory. With worksurfaces connected to the beam, the workstations remain intact and aligned, keeping spaces beautiful and providing managers with peace of mind.

This next generation PowerBench can be designed for all environments. Now featuring two base options, the new metal H-Leg base gives a light, modern aesthetic, or the original enclosed laminate base for an upscale, traditional look. Both are fully customizable with a range of finishes and materials that can reflect a company’s unique style. Designers can choose to paint the new H-Leg in a variety of eye-catching paint colors including trending antique gold, black, or Baltic Blue – or choose to keep it neutral with finishes such as satin white paint or metallic silver.

Tracy Reed, vice president of marketing for AIS, noted “Many of our dealers and customers previewed Encounter PowerBench with the new H-Leg at NeoCon in June, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. They know that AIS is committed to them with meaningful expansions to our portfolio of products.”

Encounter PowerBench with the H-Leg metal base is available to order August 1, 2023. Links to product marketing materials, images, and more are below.
