Encore is pleased to introduce an even smaller version of their Sunny Kids guest chair, along with accompanying occasional tables to complete the full family of children’s products. Two natural extensions of the collection, they expand the Sunny family with solutions created specifically for the youngest of generations. Building upon the playful spirit and welcoming design language of the original series, these additions provide scaled seating and coordinating tables that help create engaging settings where kids can learn, explore, and interact comfortably.
The aptly named Sunny ‘Littler’ Kids offers a smaller interpretation of the original children’s seating design, thoughtfully proportioned for youngsters while maintaining its signature soft contours and inviting comfort. With a seat height of 14.25 inches—compared to the existing chair’s 16-inch height—the scaled design is ideal for early education settings and activity-based areas. Despite its smaller footprint, it maintains the same durability as the rest of the collection, supporting up to 275 pounds to ensure lasting performance.
Complementing the seating series, the delightfully small occasional tables bring the same lighthearted character and intentional design details to children’s spaces. Echoing the recognizable elements of their larger table counterparts, they feature tapered ash wood legs and colorful metal connectors that add both visual interest and structural integrity. Offered in multiple heights and a variety of sizes, the tables support a range of activities—from storytelling and art projects to collaborative play and snack time with friends. Surface options include ash veneer, laminate, Fenix®, and solid surface, allowing designers to tailor materials to the needs of each application.
Together with the adult Sunny models—comprised of guest, lounge, and bench seating as well as occasional tables—these new introductions reinforce a broader versatility across the full series. The cohesive design language allows pieces to be used individually or combined across a variety of commercial settings, including education, libraries, healthcare family areas, community centers, and multi-family residential environments.
Sunny was designed by Rainlight, continuing their exploration of approachable forms that balance playful character with everyday functionality. The new additions further expand the collection with scaled solutions that bring comfort, color, and inviting design to spaces created for children and families.
