Company meetings and corporate training sessions can mean serious business, but thanks to the new Amuse seating collection from Encore, a little levity can be infused into these productive environments—or anywhere comfortable, versatile seating is needed. With its sprightly form and lightweight design, Amuse is strikingly contemporary, yet its durable construction entertains even the most demanding interiors.
Along with its slim profile and inherent functionality, what makes Amuse so appealing is its fluency across a broad array of materials and finishes. Its seat and back are offered in six beech wood finishes, upholstered, or in five polypropylene colors: Jet, Charcoal, Indigo, Pomegranate, and Sugar. Wood, upholstered and polypropylene elements can be mixed and matched, together with various finishes and color options, to create virtually endless specification options.
Amuse also features a wall-saver base design, finished in chrome, that not only prevents scuffing and chipping on the wall surface, but also provides exceptional durability by supporting a weight capacity of 300 lbs. Glides may also be added to help protect hard surface flooring from unwanted scratches.
Both arm and armless models offer convenient stacking and ganging capabilities that make it the perfect seating solution where space is at a premium, or when uniform row configurations are desired for a clean aesthetic. Stackable up to 30-high on a dolly, or 15-high standing, they can be arranged, packed-up, moved, and used elsewhere at a moment’s notice.
In addition to these robust capabilities, Amuse is designed with integrated details that keep the end user’s comfort in mind. Subtle features such as its gently curved back and natural arm help promote relaxed sitting for extended periods—ideal during training sessions or even spontaneous collaborative sessions that run long.
Encore licensed the Amuse collection from Wiesner Hager, an Austrian manufacturer known for its contemporary design and dedication to quality. This marks the second collaboration between the two companies, whose successful partnership was previously responsible for the highly popular Signal guest seating line in 2014.
