Elodie Blanchard + HBF Textiles Mark NYCxDesign with Pop-ups at David Weeks Studio, WantedDesign Manhattan
With the city abuzz with NYCxDesign activities, we wanted to put some events from frequent HBF Textiles collaborator Elodie Blanchard on your radar. Elodie’s fabulous HBF Textiles fabrics will be on display throughout the city, and you won’t want to miss her amazing installations.
First up, Elodie will showcase her unique fabric storytelling at David Weeks Studio. Blanchard will offer sculptural fabric “trees” at the studio to complement David Weeks Studio’s Waaw collection of woven furniture and pendant lighting produced with Abdou Salam Gaye in Dakar, Senegal. HBF Textiles fabrics will also be featured on a special edition Fin ottoman from the Studio’s collection. The installation will debut during TriBeCa Design Night on Thursday, May 18 from 6-9 pm.
Elodie will also be at WantedDesign Manhattan. There, she will exhibit a selection of pillows and fabrics, featuring her designs for HBF Textiles including those from the recently-released New Basics collection. This series reimagines classic motifs as anything-but-basic textiles. New Basics celebrates timeless patterns like minimal geometrics and modernizes them through color and texture.
