Power and data supply leader ECA by Dekko announces the launch of Poppy, a fresh new Qi-compatible wireless charging solution that provides integrated power using a standard grommet hole. Poppy’s 10-watt Qi-certified fast-charging technology quickly powers up all kinds of devices.
Qi technology is the universal standard for wireless charging. Because it’s Qi-compatible, Poppy accommodates an array of new and emerging technologies and their charging requirements. The same charging pad can be used with a variety of brands, including various Apple and Samsung products.
“When wireless charging first made its appearance, options were limited to bulky, cheaply made charging pucks that gave minimal consideration to design. Today’s phones and tablets deserve wireless charging that reflects more than just pure function – they deserve a permanent, premium feel. Poppy beautifully marries form and function for a powerful, upscale experience,” Dekko Vice President of Sales Char Reynolds said.
Poppy is notably smaller than other wireless solutions and easy to install. Typically, in-surface wireless charging solutions require a large cutout of 3 inches or more. This can present a unique challenge when finding the appropriate tools for product installation. Poppy was designed to fit a standard grommet cutout of 2.5 inches (it can fit a cutout range of 2.44 inches to 2.55 inches) for easier installation within furniture and work surfaces. A dealer can pop out a grommet that may have already been cut and insert Poppy, or simply use a standard saw bit to cut the hole.
“Simply drop Poppy into the surface cutout, connect to a power source and you’re ready to charge,” Reynolds said.
An optional bracket fixture with screws (included) enables customers to secure Poppy to a range of work-surface thicknesses for an added level of security.
Poppy comes standard in a lux, black faux-leather finish. Poppy seamlessly integrates into a variety of interior settings, including living rooms, home offices, workspaces, social areas and more.
“Our unique wireless solution provides users with a universal charging method that is petite in size and luxurious in feel. The fast-charging functionality and faux-leather finish leave a lasting impression on users,” Reynolds said.
Poppy comes complete with a wireless charging pad, grommet bracket, screws and an AC adapter specific to this particular product. For more information about Poppy, visit https://www.dekko.com/products/poppy. For questions about ordering Poppy, call 203-924-6617.
