New styles feature innovative texture/pattern technologies, including the newly patented Synthesis™, and hard surface coordinates

Durkan revealed the company’s largest ever debut of new hospitality flooring solutions at HD Expo 2016. Held May 4-6 at Mandalay Bay, HD Expo is the premier trade show and conference for hospitality design professionals. Durkan’s new products, which include broadloom, carpet tile, hardwood and luxury vinyl tile, were on display.

“This year at HD Expo, we’re inviting our customers to come to our booth and experience the magic of Durkan in how we interweave product, design, community and sustainability into custom design solution,” said Mark Page, Durkan’s senior director of color and design. “We are confident that with our expanded product offering and wide range of innovative texture and pattern capabilities, including our newly patented Synthesis™ technology, that Durkan is able to provide any flooring solution that our customers are able to imagine.”

Page explained that Durkan’s new Synthesis technology is specially engineered for hospitality designers and clients who aim to create an exceptional guest experience. Synthesis is a patented technology that provides a three-dimensional layering effect using a custom base and Precision Dye Injected (PDI) surface that enables unprecedented image quality. Durkan also offers products in Definity™, the advanced generation precision sculpturing technology capable of producing the highest definition of texture, pattern and color ever achieved in hospitality carpet. Durkan also offers Digital PDI™ and Computer Yarn Placement (CYP) technologies.

Mohawk Group’s hard surface introductions, which are designed to coordinate seamlessly with Durkan’s newest carpet offerings, include two hardwood and three luxury vinyl tile collections and were also prominently displayed at the show.

“As our carpet collections continue to evolve, offering a wide range of floor design solutions, it is only natural that we also expand our hard surface offering, making the flooring selection process and coordination easier than ever for our hospitality customers,” said Page.
