In 2011, Designtex, alongside three supply chain partners, sought to create a circular economy with a closed loop material. The result of this experiment was the Loop to Loop Platform – transforming fabric waste from furniture manufacturing into a recyclable polyester yarn. Designed by Designtex, woven by Victor from Unifi yarn for use on Steelcase furniture, Loop to Loop is the result of four companies working together to evaluate and reduce environmental impact within the textile industry. 2019 brings a refreshed color palette with a total of 16 standard colorways. Alongside the original Loop to Loop pattern, this recycled yarn program is available in six additional styles.
