Desalto at FuoriSalone 2016

Desalto.Live Work Design

Live, work, design by Archiproducts
Archiproducts Milano – Via Tortona, 31
12 April to 30 June

Live, work, design is the inaugural launch event of Archiproducts‘ new space in Milan; the biggest architecture and design community is stepping out of the web and into the world of art and creativity that is Milan. The event will open on the occasion of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, and will run until the end of June 2016: for these three months, the large apartment in Via Tortona 31 will become a space for networking, multimedia demos and live working, alternating between the furniture and accessories of Archiproducts’ exhibitor brands.

Within this stimulating environment, the absolute stars of the approximately 70 m² of the main hall will be Desalto products: the versatile modular bookcase systems Helsinki and Fill; Koki chair, with its elegant combination of technology and design; the essential, cutting-edge table 25, winner of the Compasso d’oro 2014; and the delicate Softer than Steel collection, splendidly represented by the sculptural coat-stand and lithe bench.

Desalto.Soft Home Design

Soft Home Design Portrait by Elle Decor
Palazzo Bovara – C.so Venezia, 51
12 to 17 April

Soft Home Design Portrait is an experiential journey that takes visitors through 800 m² of soft house, recreated by contaminating the historic setting of Palazzo Bovara with contemporary design objects. “Soft”, in its dual meaning of a cosy, comfortable home and of software/soft tech, given the involvement of the senses in this digital experience offered by new technology. One of the rooms in this domestic exploration houses a precious item: Helsinki table, representing one of Desalto’s best-selling home collections, an elegant addition to any space. And again, a table is a key feature of one of the “design portraits”, author’s pictures of objects and iconic design pieces shot by Elle Decor Italy, which will appear both in the Soft Home video-installation and in the “Speciale Salone del Mobile” collector’s issue n.4 of Elle Decor Magazine: in this case, protagonist is Clay, the essential and elegant table-sculpture designed by Marc Krusin.
