DEDON Receives Top Honors at HD Expo 2024
DEDON received the IIDA/HD Expo Product Design Award in the Seating – Group (Lounge) category for CIRQL NU at this yearâs show. Created using DEDONâs groundbreaking invert fiber, CIRQL NU signifies the next evolution of the collection and the brandâs DNA. Werner Aisslinger’s latest collection is made using co-extrusion, a process that combines two distinct fiber colors and types into one strand. It results in stunning colorways, diverse textures and geometric patterns with a special 3D-effect, creating an almost iridescent sheen depending on the viewing angle. CIRQL NU is innovative yet archetypal â a truly unique interplay of shape and color.Â
This esteemed IIDA/HD Expo Product Design competition recognizes products that excel in seven different criteria, including aesthetics, cost and value, design innovation, environmental responsibility, need, technical advancements, and usage. This year’s entries were evaluated by a panel of distinguished design industry experts that included Rottet Studio Principal and Design Director, Chris Evans; HOK Principal and Practice Leader, Kelly Lott; and BRPH Chief Design and Creative Leader, Cristi Moore, IIDA. The winners were announced and celebrated at a special reception on Wednesday, May 1st during the 2024 HD Expo + Conference in Las Vegas, NV.
