The Davis Ginkgo Lounge High Back chair was a near instant success when it was released in 2015. Building off of the popular Ginkgo multi-use chair line, Ginkgo Lounge translated the Ginkgo style into a design for all new applications. In 2016, Davis released two significant additions to the Ginkgo Lounge line – the Low Back and Mid Back versions – which added 21 new models to the popular lounge family.
With the extended range of options and styles, Ginkgo Lounge continues to be one of our bestselling products. To continue the trend of exciting additions, the designers, Jehs+Laub, and the Davis Design Team formulated a new base design for the High Back lounge chair. The new minimalistic Wire Base style for Ginkgo Lounge High Back is based on the Wire Base design for the Low Back lounge, released in 2016. This addition includes an elegant Wire Base option for the complementary Ginkgo Lounge Foot Rest.
Much like the pedestal base of the Mid Back and High Back is reflected in several Low Back models, now the Low Back Wire Base is mirrored in a High Back and Foot Rest option. The design of the Wire Base has been modified slightly to complement the scale of the High Back lounge, and it will provide great design continuity for designers to utilize moving forward.
