TheĀ DallasĀ data center market was second only to D.C. in terms of sheer size and inventory growth. It addedĀ 5 million square feetĀ of new data center space since 2012, reaching a total ofĀ 14 million square feetĀ at the close of 2021.
Here are some highlights for theĀ DallasĀ market:
- The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex saw theĀ second-largest data center inventory growthĀ in the U.S. between 2012 and 2021 ā developers here added 5 million square feet of new data center space to the market, representing a nearly 57% market expansion.
- Dallas-Fort Worth was also theĀ second-largest U.S. data center marketĀ at the close of 2021, with data center space here encompassing nearly 14 million square feet.
- The Texas metro made it in theĀ top 20 markets by sales volumeĀ as well, atĀ #12Ā with $186.1 million in transactions.
