Configura, maker of CET Designer software, announces the release of CET Designer 8.5.
This latest version of the space-planning software used by major manufacturers and their dealer-designers includes feature requests made and voted upon by CET Designer users.
The top vote-getter: the ability to export materials and textures from the free CET Designer Revlink Extension to Revit 2018. This new feature means users can maintain the material or texture “look” on products specified in CET Designer for use in Revit 2018 files.
In second place is the ability to now use preset product lighting options in CET Designer’s free Movie Studio Extension. The Extension lets users create fly-thru videos of a designed space.
In third place is the ability to scale accessories from the Office Accessories Extension. This free CET Designer Extension includes objects typically found in an office environment. The accessories, and the new ability to increase or decrease their size, enhance the realism of renderings.
CET Designer 8.5 also includes the ability to place dimensions and measure distances while working in 3D. Plus, new keyboard shortcuts as well as improvements to the Paper View setting have been added. The latest release also includes the ability to install the latest updates in the background, without having to interrupt one’s work. CET Designer 8.5 also supports AutoCAD 2018.
