Configura and ESI Launch a New CET Designer Extension
Configura, maker of CET Designer software, announces the launch of a CET Designer Extension for ESI, a provider of contract office furniture and ergonomic worktools including monitor arms, height-adjustable tables, power solutions, sit-to-stand workstations, and more.
“We’ve seen CET Designer become an industry standard for designing and specifying office furniture, and ESI users have been requesting that our products be on the platform,” ESI Executive Vice President of Sales Todd Holderness said.
ESI chose to partner with Configura for its Extension in order to create an unrivaled experience for its customers. With CET Designer, product and pricing updates can be made instantly, in real-time, resulting in accurate and timely information for specifiers of ESI products.
Used by thousands of people globally, CET Designer helps manufacturers and their dealers by providing a single software solution for space planning and product ordering. The solution is used in a number of industries that manufacture configurable products; industries include office furniture, kitchen and bath, material handling, industrial machinery and laboratory/healthcare.
CET Designer is Configura’s “core” Parametric Graphical Configuration (PGC)-based software platform; an Extension is an addition to the program with functionality that incorporates all of the rules, parts and pricing of a given manufacturer’s products.
For the first phase of ESI’s Extension, 95% of the products – including monitor arms, height-adjustable tables, power solutions and ergonomic worktools – will be made available in the Extension. During the second phase, the remaining ESI products will be made available, including CPU holders, lighting and wall-mounted workstations.
