CFT joins HNI Corporation Workplace Furnishings’ Preferred Installer Network, giving HNI dealers nationwide a turnkey local partner for projects throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut
Commercial Furniture Transport (CFT), a leading provider of commercial furniture logistics, warehousing, delivery and installation services, has been selected as an HNI Corporation Workplace Furnishings Preferred Installer Network (PIN) Partner for the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut metro market.
CFT is one of just seven live PIN Partners nationwide, strengthening its ability to support HNI dealers from across the country that have projects in one of the nation’s largest and most complex commercial interiors markets.
For CFT, the significance of PIN goes beyond installer certification. The program creates a closer connection among the dealer, installer and HNI Field Operations team before and throughout installation, helping project teams identify challenges earlier, communicate more effectively and resolve field issues faster.
Through PIN, dealers gain access to additional HNI resources including dedicated program support, Field Operations and Field Service Engineers, product training, pre-build coordination and support with field issue resolution.
“What excites us most about PIN is what it means for HNI dealers around the country,” said Ryan Goor, President of Commercial Furniture Transport. “A dealer in Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles or anywhere else shouldn’t have to recreate its project team every time it wins work in the New York metro area. Our goal is to become an extension of that dealer locally, their eyes, ears and boots on the ground while protecting the relationship they have built with their customer.”

A Local Extension of the Dealer
Executing a commercial furniture project in the New York metropolitan area can require significantly more than an installation crew. Receiving and staging, building access, union requirements, delivery restrictions, site coordination, project management and last-mile scheduling can all have a direct impact on the customer experience.
CFT provides dealers with a single partner capable of managing those requirements from initial receiving through final punch.
Its capabilities include:
- Turnkey receiving, warehousing, delivery and installation
- Union and non-union installation teams
- Dedicated project management and site coordination
- Inventory management and project staging
- Transportation and last-mile logistics
- Reconfigurations, warranty and ongoing service work
- Decommissioning, relocation and asset management
- National delivery and installation support
- Healthcare Logistics
With decades of experience throughout the New York metropolitan area, CFT combines local market knowledge with the infrastructure and resources required to support projects ranging from individual service calls to large, complex installations.
“The final mile is where the dealer’s promises become real for the customer,” Goor said. “We have always believed that our dealer’s next sale is only as good as our last delivery and installation. PIN gives us another tool to help our dealer partners protect their reputation, reduce risk, and create an exceptional customer experience.”
Making Out-of-Market Projects Easier for HNI Dealers
CFT sees particular opportunity in supporting HNI dealers headquartered outside of the Northeast. Rather than sending project managers and operations personnel into the market for every project, dealers can engage CFT early in the process to assist with local site conditions, receiving and storage planning, delivery logistics, labor requirements, scheduling, installation and punch-list completion. The objective is simple, one accountable local partner with the resources to help manage the project from dock to desk.
“Our best partnerships are the ones where the dealer feels like CFT is part of their own organization and a true partnership relationship develops,” Goor added. “The dealers owns the customer relationship. Our job is to make them look good and make doing business in our market easier.”
HNI dealers with upcoming projects in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut are encouraged to connect with CFT during the planning or quoting stage to discuss how the Preferred Installer Network and CFT’s local capabilities can support their project.
