Combining Modernist Design with Classic Wood Construction is the Inspiration for Agati’s Newest Collection: Etta

A complete “clean sheet” design, Etta is the latest collection to be added to the Agati line-up that embraces a modern aesthetic without sacrificing productivity in public space furniture.

Etta is a massive evolution of the proven table-and-chair design which features:

  • Curved seatbacks that comfortably nestle the body to create a sense of security
  • Solid wood chair seat and back are a single piece; casters are available
  • Optional electric power is channeled through the table legs to hide unsightly cords

“With Etta, we evolved the tried-and-true design of a table and chair into something more memorable for today’s learner,” said Joe Agati, founder of AGATI Furniture and the designer of Etta. “From the way the seat offers proper back support to how the sturdiness of the tabletop makes focusing an automatic behavior, the impetus for the Etta design was effortless function while looking good.”

Bringing Back Organic Materials

Incorporating solid wood was key in designing Etta. Wood offers an organic dimension when compared to other materials that innately creates a sense of cozy—something that learners subconsciously embrace while reading a book or writing an essay.

Moreover, the solid woods used in the Etta collection are sturdy and durable. Agati has made a commitment in all of its products to offer finishes that withstand the abuse often experienced by furniture in public spaces, and Etta is no exception.

Versatile Design Options

Etta Study Table finishes: All standard Agati finishes are available in Beech, including clear.

Etta seating offers three options:

  • Solid wood seat and seat back
  • Upholstered seat and solid wood seat back
  • Fully upholstered seat and seat back
