Previewed at Design Days and now officially launched
The soothing nature of the ocean’s tides is undeniable—and now J+J Flooring has channeled the energy of that push and pull into the floor.
The Tides collection is designed to explore how the light reflects off the water, its varying colors, and how it moves and bubbles, all at different times of day as it ebbs and flows along the shorelines. “We really thought about how the outdoors influences our health, and what aspects of it make you feel calm—water can always represent that,” said Laura Holzer, Director of Design.
Tides is comprised of two styles:
The luxury product Ebb illustrates the receding of the tide and features subtle tonal variations and yarn twist combos that achieve a plusher depth and texture, with a hidden sheen. A tip shear on this one makes the color richness truly pop.
Flow is more applicable for higher-traffic areas and captures the movement and fluidity of the ocean’s current. It utilizes those same beautiful yarns but has more shading and shadowing effects as you move across the floor.
Both Ebb and Flow are crafted from 100% solution-died Encore yarns and are available in 18 in. x 36 in. carpet tiles. Advance Modular Carpet Backing is also an option, providing a PVC-free alternative with outstanding performance protection and stability. Both patterns come in 10 Earth-inspired colorways that help them coordinate with each other, such as “Sand Dunes,” “Desert Glow,” “Dark Sage,” and a highlight color called “Sea Glass.” From these pecan-hued shades to softer blues and grays, the line also offers high-contrasting black and white to represent the moon reflecting off the water at night. Custom color capabilities are also available.
