CetraRuddy Promotes Nine Team Members on Heels of Growth into New Markets

Integrated architecture and interior design firm elevates emerging leaders and top designers, continuing growth trajectory and bolstering thought leadership, innovation.

A global leader in integrated architecture and interior design, the firm CetraRuddy has announced strategic promotions for nine key team members, including the advancement of two to senior-level leadership. The newly elevated professionals include Emmanuelle C. Slossberg, LEED AP, who has been elevated to Principal, and Erica LiBritz, AIA, LEED AP, a current winner of the national young architect award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), who becomes Associate Principal. In addition, CetraRuddy has named four new senior associates: Lindsey Doren, AIA, LEED AP; Patricia Duval; Keith Fuchslocher; Sohith Perera; and three new associates: Kana Ahn; Russell Kopp, RA; Hal Rosner, LEED GA, expanding its leadership ranks significantly.

Recognized for a sophisticated design approach that has cultivated CetraRuddy’s leadership in creating “home” by bringing it to large-scale urban works and experiential lifestyle projects, in 2019 the firm has taken on new higher-education and institutional building commissions. Recent project wins include prestigious cultural projects such as the first American location for the Swedish photography organization Fotografiska. According to CetraRuddy co-founding principal John Cetra, FAIA, the firm’s recent promotions reflect this diversity of design work as well as an evolving presence in cities across North America, including Washington, D.C., and Toronto.

“These nine professionals bring a wide range of talent and knowledge that reflect our continued commitment to holistic problem-solving and an ability to meet client objectives in new markets and sectors,” said Cetra, who is frequently cited for innovation and thought leadership in building solutions.

The newly promoted CetraRuddy leaders are valuable sources on a range of expert topics, from planning and design for large-scale multifamily residential, mixed-use, and market-leading restaurant projects to emerging best practices for mentorship. CetraRuddy’s team is also known for developing innovative research methods and effective brand positioning strategies for clients in the hospitality, multifamily, and institutional arenas.

Emmanuelle C. Slossberg, LEED AP, Principal

Since joining CetraRuddy in 2009 as Director of Strategic Development and subsequently as Director of Strategy, Slossberg has spearheaded the firm’s growth in a wide range of sectors and markets, including for residential, hospitality, cultural, educational, commercial office, and large-scale mixed-use work, both in the United States and abroad. Already a member of the 100-person firm’s executive team, she now joins CetraRuddy’s top level of leadership as one of eight principals. With previous professional experience as an architect and in creative branding agencies, she is a widely recognized mentor and advisor in the fields of building design, real estate development, construction, and strategic growth/marketing – including for aspiring female professionals — Slossberg is an excellent source on increasing female visibility and representation in leadership positions, having been on the ULI Women’s initiative as a committee member and currently serving on the ULI NY Management Committee as Vice Chair of Membership. 

Erica LiBritz, AIA, LEED AP, Associate Principal

One of 2019’s most decorated young architects nationwide, LiBritz is recognized as an expert on all facets of complex urban mixed-use and multifamily residential projects, from zoning analysis to design and construction management. Named as a recipient of the 2019 Young Architect Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and to Building Design + Construction magazine’s 2019 40 Under 40 list, LiBritz has been instrumental in advancing many of CetraRuddy’s most important high-rise projects. Recent work includes the Rockefeller Group’s 600-foot-tall Rose Hill tower and the 45 Broad Street supertall, both currently underway in Manhattan.

Lindsey Doren, AIALEED AP, Senior Associate

Integral to the CetraRuddy design team since 2013, Doren is highly regarded for her expertise in guiding complex projects through special approvals processes, and for willingness to share expertise and mentor young and emerging designers. Notable project work includes a major expansion and addition for the brand Porcelanosa’s Manhattan flagship store, and 77 Commercial Street, a new 760,000-square-foot, mixed-use building currently under construction in Brooklyn.

Patricia Duval, Senior Associate

With over 15 years of interior design experience, Duval has led interiors work on a number of large-scale commercial and residential projects. Known for her deeply researched design processes, Duval is respected within CetraRuddy and by clients for her ability to translate complicated conceptual goals into successful spaces. Highlights from her portfolio include the recently completed Oskar luxury apartment building and a workplace for brokerage firm The Corcoran Group, in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. Duval also oversaw the design and completion of CetraRuddy’s own office space in Manhattan.

Keith Fuchslocher, Senior Associate

As director of information technology at CetraRuddy, Fuchslocher is responsible for the management and strategic implementation of the firm’s technology backbone. A highly versatile professional, he has previously served in office management, marketing, and administrative roles during his time with the firm. In his current position, Fuchslocher proactively develops the processes and frameworks that enable CetraRuddy’s digital design processes, and he is a recognized expert on the latest software programs and platforms.

Sohith Perera, AIA, Senior Associate

Known as an expert in computational design and research, Perera’s role at CetraRuddy extends across work on a variety of project types such as urban master planning, residential complexes and large mixed-use facilities. Driven by a passion for problem solving and finding better design solutions, his 10-plus years in the field include extensive international experience with Zaha Hadid Architects and MAD Architects in Taiwan.

Kana Ahn, Associate

A proven leader in CetraRuddy’s interiors practice, Ahn specializes in hospitality, residential, and retail projects. Combining an artistic sensitivity with an architectural attention to detail, Ahn is able to conceptualize unique design solutions that add value for clients and end users alike. Her portfolio includes work as senior interior designer for CetraRuddy’s Sugarcane and queensyard restaurants in New York, both of which are recognized for seamlessly integrating a number of distinct guest experiences.

Russell Kopp, RA, Associate

Recognized as an experienced project manager and an expert on complex construction practices, Kopp’s 25 years of experience includes advisory work for the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S Army Corps of Engineers. At CetraRuddy, Kopp blends this knowledge of construction and detailing with a keen eye for elegant design solutions, and has helped lead work on many of the firm’s major residential high-rise developments in Manhattan, including 200 Amsterdam, the ARO high-rise, and Rose Hill.

Hal Rosner, LEED GA, Associate

Leading CetraRuddy’s BIM practice and advisory team, Rosner is a valued teacher and mentor whose essential expertise enhances a wide range of new construction and historic adaptive reuse work. Among his most widely recognized projects are the residential conversions of 30 Morningside at the former St. Luke’s Hospital, and the celebrity hotspot 443 Greenwich, along with a new mixed-use development for Macklowe Properties and an award-winning office building at 412 West 15th Street in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
