Cerami Certified for AudioVisual Design Excellence by Global Group

The nationally renowned women-owned consultancy focused on innovative building solutions, Cerami & Associates, Inc., has just earned a significant credential in the field of audio-visual building systems.

Given by the organization InfoComm International, Cerami has achieved the status of AV Provider of Excellence, or APEx. This InfoComm recognition program applies to integration companies and AV design consulting firms such as Cerami, who are “dedicated to upholding industry excellence by providing quality service to customers.”

The recognition reflects a number of leadership qualities achieved by Cerami. First, “The InfoComm APEx program recognizes companies based on the number of employees holding key industry certifications,” including InfoComm’s CTS credential, said InfoComm in a statement. In addition, the APEx honor reflects completion of continuing education classes, positive customer survey responses, and proof that the firm meets or exceeds the requirements of two national standards.

As the firm grows and approaches 100 team members in three offices, Victoria J. Cerami, CEO, says the APEx certification is yet more objective proof that Cerami & Associates is a leader in the AV and building technology fields. “Our company’s core principles include excellence in design and service as well as lifelong learning, empathy, and passionate responsibility,” says the CEO Cerami. “As the firm enters its 51st year in business, we’ll continue developing innovative ways to help clients achieve positive business outcome through applied AV technology, improved acoustics, and creative applications of technology.”

According to InfoComm, APEx providers like Cerami must meet or exceed the requirements of two ANSI/InfoComm standards: Standard Guide for Audiovisual Systems Design and Coordination Processes, as well as the AV System Performance Verification Standard, which help foster better communication between the AV provider and the client.

“Customers of APEx companies can be confident of the AV provider’s professionalism and commitment to ongoing training, customer service, and dedication to excellence,” said David Labuskes, CTS, RCDD, executive director and CEO of InfoComm International.

Cerami & Associates serves a range of clients including corporate, academic, cultural, government, hospitality and research organizations, says Cerami. The firm has seen increasing growth of its award-winning practice in audiovisual systems and related technology with the expansion of its offices in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., and with the addition of industry-leading capabilities in acoustical solutions and integrated workplace technologies.
