Carnegie Expands Acoustic Textiles Offerings

Carnegie.AcousticTextiles

Acoustically Absorbent & Transparent Textile Solutions for the Modern Interior

With open-plan layouts dominating projects of all types, Carnegie has expanded their Acoustic Textile Solutions with two new acoustically absorbent sheers by Creation Baumann and one new silk-inspired acoustically transparent panel fabric– three new patterns that naturally blend into any space.

The first generation of Carnegie’s innovative sound absorbing sheers was launched in a lustrous, techno inspired palette; however, in efforts to blend with a more natural environment, Carnegie introduces Deltacoustic & Zetacoustic window solutions that expand the sheers collection by offering matte, cotton-like textiles. Using breakthrough yarn and weaving technology, these impressive draperies are soft lightweight sheers that have the strength and performance of an opaque sound absorbing fabric. When tested, the acoustically absorbent sheers achieve Noise Reduction Ratings (NRC) up to .6 NRC when draped – that’s over 6 times a regular sheer!

With twenty-two jewel-toned colors to choose from, Sublime offers an upscale and sophisticated fabric for panels and upholstered walls. Its acoustical transparency allows sound to travel through the textile and into the acoustically absorbent panel substrate, delivering aesthetic results with a change in NRC of only .05. The natural silk-like look also adds to the spatial dimensionality of the pattern.

These three acoustical additions round out Carnegie’s offering to over six hundred unique design solutions in dozens of color ways: 450 acoustically transparent panel fabrics and 170 acoustically absorbent window patterns – all third party NRC tested, ensuring you are making the right textile choice for your intended outcome!
