Brad Ascalon and DWR Team Up For a Cause
Atlas Black at Auction for Design Trust for Public Space Benefit Event at Christie’s Auction House
Brad Ascalon and Design Within Reach have teamed up for a great cause, Design Trust for Public Space, producing a one-of-a-kind variation of Ascalon’s Atlas table, which he designed for the brand in 2013.In honor of Design Trust’s 20th anniversary, Ascalon and DWR created Atlas Black, an edition of one made from black stained walnut and smoked glass, which will be part of a silent auction at Christie’s Auction House on October 14th, along with works by a curated selection of NY based designers and artists. All proceeds will directly support the Design Trust and its operations.
Design Trust for Public Space is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing design innovation to New York City’s public spaces to make a more dynamic, livable and sustainable city. The organization’s belief is that a vibrant public realm is essential to the cultural and democratic life of our city. We are extremely proud to be part of this effort.
