Blu Dot Unveils Reengineered Trade Program

A Reimagined Trade Program Built for Designers, Emphasizing Flexibility, Access, and Collaboration

Blu Dot, the acclaimed modern furniture company, is proud to introduce a completely reimagined Trade Program––launching with an exclusive perk for members: an early look at the Fall 2025 collection. After listening closely to feedback from the design community, the Trade Program has been rebuilt from the ground up to better support the way today’s designers actually work. Over the past year, Blu Dot engaged with hundreds of trade professionals across residential and commercial projects, gathering input on what was working, what wasn’t, and how we could make their experience better. The result is a more flexible, intuitive program rooted in real-world needs. Built in collaboration with the design community to better serve the needs of professionals, the new program assists those sourcing furniture for both residential and commercial projects.

With an emphasis on flexibility, support, and access, the new program delivers enhanced benefits that make specifying Blu Dot easier and more rewarding than ever. No more waiting days for answers. No more minimums blocking small orders. No more one-size-fits-all service. This is trade––done the Blu Dot way: simple, human, and built for the customer.

What’s New in the Blu Dot Trade Program:

● 20% Trade Discount – Every order, every day.

● No Minimums – Enjoy your discount on all projects, big or small.

● Dedicated Trade Concierge – Real human support from someone who knows your name.

● Flexible Ordering – Place orders online, in-store, or through your concierge.

● Exclusive Access – Get priority on finish samples, early releases (including our Fall 2025 collection), and limited editions.

Trade members are first in line for our latest launches, including the upcoming Fall 2025 collection. Rich new textures, bold hues, and sculptural forms drop soon—and members get to see (and specify) them weeks before they’re released to the public. Whether you’re refreshing a residential space or sourcing for a large-scale commercial project, you’ll have priority access to the season’s most coveted designs.

“We know designers have endless options,” says Blu Dot CEO John Christakos. “So we asked ourselves how we could make working with Blu Dot not only easier, but better–more human, more responsive, more aligned with how designers actually work. This updated Trade Program refl ects that commitment.”

Blu Dot have always believed in great design for real life. With this updated Trade Program, they are extending that same ethos to the way they support their professional community, by making it easier, more human, and way more fun to work with Blu Dot.

ABOUT BLU DOT

Blu Dot are designers, manufacturers, and distributors of modern furnishings and accessories. Founded in 1997 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the American company was started by three college friends who dreamed of bringing good design to as many people as possible. Almost thirty years later, the business is still led by co-founder and CEO John Christakos, and has expanded to include retail locations across the United States, Mexico, and Australia.

Blu Dot’s approach to design has always been guided by practicality, accessibility, and a healthy dose of irreverence. While their offering has expanded and diversified to satisfy the needs of both residential and commercial customers across multiple categories, every design the company produces out of their Minneapolis headquarters demonstrates the same level of thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and purpose. For this, they were recognized in 2018 with a National Design Award from the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
