Blu Dot + Mexico City, 2016
Blu Dot is heading south. Confirming their love of warm weather, great food, and bright colors, the Minneapolis based design company has decided to open their second store in Mexico. Different from most of their retail ventures, this location boasts a calm, relaxed environment with a unique gallery feel. The store is located in the vibrant neighborhood of Polanc, at Lafontaine 73-A Col. The store officially opened this summer, so come by and say hello!
The award-winning, internationally renowned, design studio is the result of college buddies who had the brains and brawn to act on the noticeable lack of accessibly priced modern furniture in the US, during the mid 1990s. Blu Dot’s considered contemporary furniture range crosses the residential, hospitality and contract boundaries with confidence and ease. Their pieces are at home in an inner city terrace, suburban oasis, contract break-out space and hotel reception.
